Brent and I are so close to getting all of the funds we need to go to Nepal. I want to encourage all of you who are still thinking about supporting us to still send money even though we wont need it. There are a few people in our group that do not have support like we do and we would love to bless them. Please consider our team members and send us any money that you were thinking about. If you weren’t thinking about it, please consider it. By making the check out to Venture, this will insure that we can give the funds to someone else! Please pray about this opportunity as well.
Brent and I do still have things we need to get for our trip. Brent needs a few things for the trek in the mountains. All of this stuff is starting to add up faster than we had anticipated. There are also extra expenses outside of the amount we absolutely need. Some of them are for fun as they want us to enjoy this trip. For the both of us, this will add up to about $500-$700. Depending on what happens when we are there. The great thing is that any extra money that we have left over, we can donate to missions in Nepal before we leave! Brent and would love to have an abundance of money to be able to leave it there.
Please pray about the ways you can still support this trip. Even if it is for someone else on our team that you do not know. Also, pray about the extra funds that Brent and I need for the day to day things when we are there.
I am not going to lie, there is a chance that Brent and I will get to ride on elephants and this will cost us extra money. We also have the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime flight around Mount Everest on our last day. Did I mention that our last days in Nepal is over Brent’s and my 5 year wedding anniversary! We are pretty excited to being serving our God for this awesome occasion. Beats going to Europe any day, which is how we wanted to celebrate originally.
Prayer Requests:
- Continued prayer for funds. As Brent and I are very close, there are others in our group that are not. We are trusting that God will provide for them.
- Pray for our preparation. We have several things we need to do before we go. Packing, purchasing items, our everyday expenses back at home, our busy work schedules and several other things.
- Pray for our spiritual preparation. We are going to get thrown into the middle of a Hindu culture. Pray that we see the hurt and have the desire to help them.
- Pray for our safety in travels.
- Pray for everything you can think of!
