Heat is Neat!

A couple weeks ago, Jess and I awoke to some pretty cold temperatures in our home, somewhere in the range of the mid 50’s. We proceeded to turn up our heat, which didn’t really respond. So we brought in some extra heaters that I was using while working in the garage and plugged them in. The house slightly warmed, just comfortable enough. I also left a message with our landlords, who promptly contacted me back and we arranged a time for the plumber to come in and check things out. He arrived on Wednesday morning, noted that the water reservoir, supposed to have 10 gallons, only had four. He filled the reservoir, and then hit a new issue. The furnace was “on” but only the pump spun round. There was an issue with the electronics and the furnace wouldn’t light. He had to order in a new part, one that needed to be overnighted, and was ordered on Thursday. Unfortunately the clerk at whatever furnace supply place in Denver, CO never actually sent the part, so the part came late on the following Monday. Over that weekend, we of course had the coldest weekend yet of the winter. We had three heaters on full and they kept the house fairly toasty, we even had to turn them down. All I really have to say is, I like heat! It sure is great to have, and it makes me thankful to even have it.
