Giddy Up

Thanks to family, we were giving all the things necessary for Elijah to be a cowboy. So of course, we chose this to be his costume this year. Free and adorable were a great reason. Elijah rocked his little cowboy outfit as he took a little ride on his horse before trick or treating. Grandpa K and I took the little man to go trick or treating in The Dalles. Much like several towns, all the businesses downtown came together and handed out candy for a safe fun place for children. We skipped by the majority of the people handing out candy. It would have just been more for mom and dad to eat. We didn’t need that much.

Now, I knew Elijah wouldn’t have clue what was going on and that he really wouldn’t be eating the candy. Seriously, he is barely one. I had the outfit and I really wanted to show him off. Cause he is just the cutest. I also wanted to see what he would do with seeing everyone in costume. He loved it! He loved all the people that handed him candy. He got the biggest smile on his face and made everyone smile too. He started to point and smile at all of the other kiddos. He was loving every minute of it. He even gave some special smiles to a little girl dressed as Minnie Mouse. It turned out to be more fun than I thought it would be for a one year old. It was all worth that smile.
