Well, I really did go to Vegas, but not with Brent nor to kiss the same old life goodbye. During the middle of July, I got asked to go to Vegas for a work meeting. Now I was a littke unsure about going to Vegas without Brent because of how crazy it is there. I really did not want to experience “sin city”. I quickly got over that and adventured out on my first work trip. I know that many of you have had the chance to go somewhere for work, but this was kind of a big deal. Come on, I work at a hardware store in the office. It was great. I went with another manager to a meeting that inckuded several other managers from some differnet Ace stores. It was a great time of networking and an opportunity to grow some of my manager skills. It was 105 plus degrees the entire time. Thank goodness for air conditioning! I spent all of my time but maybe 3 hours inside the enitre time I was down there. I did however venture out to go see Ceasers Palace and the Bellagio fountain. It ended up being a great work trip!
