With all the craziness of life going on. I have not spent the time with my family that they deserve. Either I’m home and busy, or gone entirely. At least that’s how it was. Now that the house is “done” and we are just days away from moving back to Montana, I’ve been able to spend some much needed time with my little family.
I was home for fathers day, so we went out to White River Falls state park near Tygh Valley, OR for the afternoon with both sets of parents. It was a beautiful day to cook up some hot dogs, soak up some sun and spend time together. It’s quite an interesting place to visit and something I recommend if you’re passing through. It’s always great to see how nature can take things over in just a few decades as.
We also took a day to visit the Oregon coast one last time as residents. We love the coast, but made too few trips to really take advantage of our proximity to this natural gem. It was a great day to just hang out with Jess, Elijah, Krista and Flynn and play in the sand.
We move in a few days. Most people would be scrambling at this point, but those people don’t have a Jessica Sara Powell in their lives. We are pretty much packed and just waiting to pick up the U-haul and get this show on the road. So now I get to go spend even more quality time with the family, and that makes my heart happy and full.
