On Saturday, we went on an afternoon/evening hike with some good friends of ours. We decided to try out a trail that none of us had ever done before. I have always heard good things about the Storm Castle hike, but have never explored. It was a hot afternoon in the 90’s and unfortunately most of the hike was in the sun on the way up to the top. It was well worth the 2,300 foot climb in about 2.5 miles. The views were spectacular. It was a 360Ëš view of several mountain ranges, valleys and canyons. I highly recommend this hike! I will even go with you! We sat at the top eating our sandwiches for dinner and then enjoyed a nice hike down on the now shady trail. What a great hike. We then finished the evening off with a nice cold drink on our friend’s porch as we watched the sunset behind the mountains. I am excited to get out there and explore even more new trails. We are surrounded by so many.
