It’s before 6am on a weekday. We have been having some pretty good progress with Fitz sleeping at night and we’re back to a relatively full nights rest. But not the past couple days. 3am hits and I’m awake. WHY AM I SO RESTLESS!!!
My mind is a bit more engaged lately, between a massive website redesign at work, side media projects, settling into a new house, and trying to find community. It’s been a lot to process, in a good way. This is not a complaint! I’ve already done more work in the past three hours than I could get done in a week of trying to work on projects after putting the kiddos to be. Sure, I’ll be a bit more tired tonight, but that’s fine, maybe I’ll sleep through the night!
So far, I’ve cut down some interviews on a project for a Horizon Christian School promo video, updated location and SEO information on the Thirty Five Media page, and organized some of my media project files. That’s pretty good! This is yet another chapter in my life where early mornings might just be part of the equation. In retrospect, this is a nicer chapter. The last time I was regularly up early, I was training for a marathon and had to do my runs at 4am before starting my shift at 6am. I really should get out on some runs this time around, but at least they’ll be short.
I’ve been coming to the realization that I’m actually a morning person. I just don’t like waking up. Getting out of bed is the hardest part, but man oh man, do I like a long morning before heading into work. There really is nothing better than enjoying a good cup of coffee as the sun rises. Now to utilize this restless morning to get that darn iCloud is full message to go away…
Fog & Snow | Lake McDonald, Glacier National Park, Montana
We took a trip up to the flathead valley and since Glacier national park is Jessica’s happy place, we took a trip into the park an snowshoed. I captured this image as we left the park. Camera: Nikon Z50
