This is the salad recipe that I came across with the Candied Spiced Almonds. It also has homemade dressing. Brent and I enjoyed this salad with a night in as the smoke outside was thick. We didn’t feel like breathing in a bunch of smoke. We made an inside date night instead. Enjoy this salad dressing and the salad as well!
Salad Dressing:
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoons dried mustard
1 tablespoon minced sweet onion
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup white balsamic vinegar
2/3 cup olive oil
Combine all ingredients and mix well.
Salad:
12 oz. mixed greens
1 small bunch of cilantro
2 avocados
3/4 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup candied spiced almonds
Toss the greens, cilantro, avocados, and about 1/4 cup dressing in a large bowl. Divide into 6 dinner sized plates or 8 side dishes. Sprinkle each salad with cranberries and almonds.
